Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce
The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce exists “to promote and sustain economic prosperity in Boca Raton and South Palm Beach County.” The Chamber has over 1,700 members representing more than 130,000 employees in South Palm Beach County. The organization supports Boca’s businesses through education programs, leadership training, networking opportunities, and community events.
Soccer Association of Boca Raton
The Soccer Association of Boca Raton is the largest soccer club in the Sunshine State and the largest community sports provider in Boca Raton. The organization provides adults and children with recreational opportunities to play soccer, regardless of skill level. The club connects thousands of families and neighbors for a positive play experience intended to build relationships in the community.
Boca Raton Softball Association
The Boca Raton Softball Association has provided girls fast-pitch softball to the Boca community for over two decades. The organization is run by a volunteer Board of Directors, which shows the community’s deep commitment to the BRSA. The BRSA is many young girls’ first experience with softball and sports. Many of its members have gone through the club’s recreational leagues all the way up to the ranks of college and professional softball.
Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce
Established in 1910, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is the largest and longest-serving business organization in Broward County. The Chamber has over 1,250 members, which employ over 500,000 Floridians. The organization is committed to promoting economic development and growth in South Florida through networking opportunities, leadership events, business development, and education. The Chamber takes an active role in the major issues affecting Fort Lauderdale, including sea-level rise and real-estate development.
Broward Children’s Center
Broward Children’s Center provides medical, educational, recreational, and advocacy services to infants and children with special health needs. The Center serves over 1,200 individuals each year, including young adults. Its 15 programs provide an accessible environment designed to meet the medical, educational, and social needs of those they serve.
Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale
The Junior League of Greater Fort Lauderdale was established in 1937 to provide the community with volunteers for its civic and humanitarian work. The organization, which has grown to over 500 volunteer members, continues to dedicate volunteer resources to Fort Lauderdale’s most pressing civic projects. The Junior Leagues has invested millions of dollars and millions of volunteer hours to improve the Broward County community.
Hammerhead Aquatics
Hammerhead Aquatics Club provides swim programs in Wilton Manors and Fort Lauderdale. It welcomes all swim levels and ages for swim classes, weekly fitness, and social opportunities. Its Masters Swim Team has over 100 members and has won seven International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics World Championships. The club offers award-winning coaching and instructional staff.
Florida Atlantic University Ice Hockey Club
Now in its 19th year of play, the Florida Atlantic University Ice Hockey Club is composed of student-athletes from the United States and Canada. The club participates in Division two of the Collegiate Hockey Federation and is a Southeastern Collegiate Hockey Conference member. As a “club” team, the program is funded solely by the university, student-athletes, and its sponsors.
